One of the quickest ways for an LPN To Become an RN is probably by completing an online LPN to RN program. By choosing this route it may be possible for the LPN to finish the program within about 18 months.
For an LPN to become an RN fast they will end up with an ADN degree (associate degree in nursing) instead of a bachelor’s in nursing degree.
An advantage of the LPN ADN program is it is quicker and the LPN can be working as an RN and likely earning more money much quicker. A disadvantage of the LPN to ADN program is that they will not have a bachelors degree which is typically needed for the RN to go into a management role.
If your career goals do not include later going into management you may want to consider this quicker way to transition from an LPN to an RN. You can of course go back to school later to earn you BSN degree if you choose.
